Torrential rain last night and this morning has greened everything up albeit it wasn’t very nice for the team to work and ride out in. By mid morning it had passed by and it certainly all feels fresher. We have plenty of paddocks here for turning the horses out daily, which they love to do, but the majority of ours on their summer holidays are at neighbouring trainer David Bridgwater’s stunning spot overlooking Stow but from the opposite side. In fact from their lush knee-deep pasture they have a wonderful view across Bourton on the Water too and they have all done really well.
Stratford today and just one runner now as Borderline doesn’t run. Ten Past Midnight represents us in the Conditional Jockey’s race under our Conditional Harry Atkins for The Serendipity Syndicate headed by Michael Chitty. He seems in great form and we are hoping he will run into a place. Good luck Ten Past!
Meanwhile plenty of eyes on Royal Ascot which starts today with some fabulous racing. We will be there later in the week and very much look forward to it.
