A new month and it’s pretty busy here (apologies for no blog for the last couple of days!). Viking Mistress’s race at Worcester wasn’t run to suit her as they went no gallop early on and therefore she was too keen. She still ran well though and is giving the Martin Keighley Racing Club plenty of good days out and, back over fences, she should win again soon.
We’ve been very busy on the admin front with Carole, our Bookkeeper, here for a couple of long days this week. She’s a massive help and a big part of the team. Jon Hughes, Toby Elford (a belated Happy Birthday Toby!) and Belinda have also been working hard on a new brochure and a Horses in Training brochure for Owners’ Day later this month too with plenty of proof reading from Jack Hughes and Paul Davis. We are so grateful for all their input and hard work.
The team are also working hard, as I watch a huge full skip leave the yard, and I appreciate all they are doing to get the yard looking at it’s best for Owners’ Day and the season ahead.
Tom Bellamy, Andrew Tinkler and Harry Stock were all in yesterday and with work morning this morning we have Andrew and Harry back in again. We worked Ballymountain Boy, Solstice Star, Enforcement, Cotswold Prince, Miss Condi, Bobble Emerald, Brass Monkey, Lord Condi, Chequered View, Thady Quil and Young Phoenix. Exciting times.
