A long day at Doncaster yesterday as the M1 was closed on the way home and coming off to try and do a detour was probably the wrong decision so a near 4 hour drive home. However, we were successful and purchased one horse which Chris & Maggie Jones delivered home for us – a gorgeous three year old gelding by Nayef who has immediately settled in.
A stunning sunny, slightly misty morning and, as owner Denis Meagher quite rightly pointed out, a quite beautiful office to have! As well as Denis here, newly retired Paul Davis was on the gallops first lot too – we are keeping him nearly as busy as he was before he retired! A good catch up with Denis who hasn’t managed to get here for a couple of years – he’s hoping to come up more regularly which would be great.
