Martin’s Blog 18th October

Work day on Saturday and Paul Davis and Claire Millington in to watch the horses on the gallops. We worked Brorson, Sarasota Star, Pay The Woman, Debden Bank, Back on the Lash, She Has Notions, Big Nasty, Duke of Luckley, Dreamsundermyfeet, Borderline, Mahanakhon Power, Fiddledi Dee, Kazontherazz, Be Thankful, Talkischeap, Herecomeshogan, Mozzaro, Citny Never Sleeps, Brianna Rose and Ben Buie. Harry Stock, Miranda Theobald, Warren Marston and Abbie Myers all in to ride out.

No runners over the weekend but a fun supper with some of the team in Broadway on Saturday night to celebrate recent winners.

A busy week ahead, especially as we head into the weekend with two days at Cheltenham and lots of entries. Before that though some important entries in the week too and it would be great if the horses continue in such great form. With 21 winners we currently sit in 18th in the Trainers’ table, we have the best return to a £1 stake of any trainer in the top 50 and with a 23% strike rate only 2 Trainers have better in the top 25. These statistics are testament to hard work from the whole team and great support from our owners and friends.

Today we do have a mini runner at Plumpton – but on the flat! Freddie & his shetland pony Brewards Kerwen (Blackie) race in the Shetland Pony Flat Race raising important funds for The Bob Champion Cancer Trust – the whole day is in aid of this wonderful charity. Good luck Freddie.
