Martin’s Blog 18th June

The first day of Royal Ascot and we are at Stratford with one runner – Enforcement for our Chairman Jon Hughes. It’s a Conditional Jockeys’ race and our Conditional Harry Stock rides – he was on board when he won at Plumpton in March. He isn’t the most straight forward but seems in good form and it would be great if he could run into a place.

Rain again – is it ever going to end?! Hard to predict going and therefore what will run so plans are very fluid. Frustrating as it’s always nice to know a few days before more or less where horses are going but the ground is so changeable at the moment. With a dry day some courses dry up really well however we are struggling to have dry days at the moment!

Happy Birthday to owner Geraldine Townend who is 60 today and no doubt having a wonderful day at Royal Ascot to celebrate.
