What a busy morning!Jo Stainer and Zofia Trembecka-Ross and her family were here to watch their horses on the gallops. We also had about 35 members from Foxtrot Racing here too enjoying cake and hot food in our wonderful Owners’ room and watching the horses work – some on the Carpet gallop but most on the grass gallop.
David and Mary Cull were here to help us with all the visitors and Dave has gone racing to Ascot with our team too. He’s 70 tomorrow and has been with us since our first point to point winner Prince Dundee who he had a share in and we don’t know what we would do without them – they are very special people and we wish David a very happy birthday tomorrow.
Ascot with Solstice Star, who needs a bit of help from the Handicapper after two years of running well without winning and still being on a mark higher than his last winning mark. We also run Buckle Street, who has a great each way chance and Pomme De Nuit in the bumper. She’s making her debut and is still a little bit weak so will come on from the run but is as lovely mare for the future.
Delighted for Guy Disney that he won the Royal Artillery yesterday – a real inspiration and thoroughly deserved.
