Hereford is on! They passed an 8am inspection so Mozzaro and Enforcement head there today. I’d declared them for Uttoxeter tomorrow just in case.

It’s Mozzaro’s hurdling debut and he’s been a horse that his owners have had to have plenty of patience with. It took us nearly 2 years to even get him to the track and he’s since run encouraging races in his bumpers learning all the time but often still showing his greenness. He’s done plenty of schooling at home and it’s taken a little while for the penny to drop but he’s pleased us lately and it’s time for him to take this next step. He’s got the right man on board with James Best such a horseman and, as he’s in here regularly, he obviously knows him very well. I can’t wait to see what he makes of hurdles but whatever he does today he’s a long term project and won’t be rushed as he’s such a lovely chasing stamp.

Enforcement (Digger) runs later in the card back over hurdles and wrong at the weights but he is in great form and needs a run. He’s giving Conditional Kai Lenihan his first ride for us too and he’s been in regularly and has schooled Digger at home and knows him. He’ll hopefully give him a good spin.
