Martin’s Blog 17th April

Quiet morning this morning. Racing Club Member Bob Johnston called in for a catch up and always good to see him. Two runners at Chepstow – Cup of Ambition (Richard Johnson) looks to have an almost impossible task against the Paul Nicholls trained Dolos but is in good form and will hopefully take advantage if things don’t go to plan with him. Johnny Og (Ian Popham) has been very disappointing and needs to bounce back today with hopefully everything in his favour or we may be finding him a new job to do as he has looked like he’s not enjoying his racing despite schooling and working well at home.

Kitty King and husband Ben were here this morning using our gallops ahead of Badminton Horse Trials in May. I believe it is Kitty’s father Peter’s 70th Birthday today so a big happy birthday to him.

Our local Point to Point at Paxford is on today as usual on Easter Monday so Belinda and the boys are off there. Great to hear from Miranda Theobald that she and Always Bold have won another Dressage Final, this time at Allens Hill. Well done to them.
