We worked quite a few this morning and had Andrew Tinkler, Warren Marston and Mark Caswell in ride out. We worked Ballymountain Boy, Solstice Star, Viking Mistress, Ask Alice, Brillare Momento, Cup of Ambition, Altesse De Guye, Brass Monkey, Young Phoenix, Notnowcato youngster, Thady Quil, Cul de Poule and Chequered View. All the rest are mostly now cantering and some did a little bit more today.
Over the last couple of days we’ve had an influx of horses including Madame Fiona returning from her summer break, My Lad Percy, Bold Ellie and Pomme De Nuit who we are leasing from Chris & Fran Marriott and whom we are setting up a partnership of six people. She’s an unraced full sister to Rosemary Russet who has already won for Harry Fry. Closely related to winning chaser Strongbows Legend and 12 x winner Dabinett Moon, both by Midnight Legend who produces such tough, game horses. Will start off in mares’ bumpers. A lovely young horse so do get in touch if you are interested in getting involved with no initial outlay to purchase a horse.
Lots going on today as we have our Annual Owners’ Day tomorrow. We simply would not be able to operate without our team and we are fortunate enough, in my opinion, to have the best team of people we’ve ever had working here and I am so grateful for all the hard work that they all put in and they have pulled together fantastically for tomorrow.
In addition to the team we’ve had our handyman Steve in doing last minute alterations, Andrea, who is part of our Racing Club, has been helping tidy up and also doing some reiki on the Racing Club horses and The Kvilleken in particular loved that. Everyone appreciated the bacon sandwiches and a special sausage sandwich for Harley!
