Martin’s Blog 16th October

We were thrilled with Ballymountain Boy’s 6th at Chepstow yesterday. He settled better than before up with the pace and jumped better too so will have learnt a lot. A competitive Grade 2 and a fabulous day out for his owners.

Early morning this morning as we took two horses for an away day gallop and both went well. Back to the yard and third lot we took Fairmount (Harry Stock) and Whatalove (Andrew Tinkler) to Jon Trice-Rolph’s for some gymnastic jumping and both went very well. Two nice horses.

Maggie Turner our physio, Nick Partridge, our Farrier, and our Vet Jeremy Swan, all in this morning so a busy Monday as usual. Huge winds promised although a mild morning and a very odd orange sky around lunchtime. Freddie away with the school until Friday on an adventure week which he’s been excited about for weeks but Harry sick in the night so a day off school for him – the office relocated to the kitchen for Belinda – Harry definitely back to school tomorrow!
