An even busier Cheltenham morning this morning as Sam Hoskins and 49 members of his Hot To Trot Jumping Syndicate were here for the first time to watch their Mello Yello work up the grass gallops. Sadly we were pretty foggy first thing and they couldn’t see much of our stunning scenery but they seemed to enjoy their visit and were able to meet Mello Yello in her stable and talk to all of our team and also enjoy some of Janne Bishop’s delicious cakes in the Owners’ Room. Thanks also to David Bishop for acting as Car Park Steward.
No runners at Cheltenham today but we are there and staying for the Sales afterwards where it would be fantastic if we were to add to our ever increasing string.
I was at Ludlow yesterday where Zara Tindall’s homebred mare Cut and Run pleased me under Leighton Aspell jumping well and finishing a decent 5th in a competitive Mares’ Maiden Hurdle. She is starting to settle much better and it was another solid run from her so a happy owner/breeder which is always the aim!
