Girl power we hope today at Hereford as all of our three runners are mares. Our first runner is HRH The Princess Royal’s Chequered View who won well at Worcester last time under Leighton Aspell. She has Richard Johnson in the saddle today and is in good form and will hopefully give us another bold show.
The following race Zara Tindall’s homebred mare, Cut And Run, represents us. She has also won already this season but at Bangor and also under Leighton Aspell. Richard Johnson also replaces him on her today and I think she should have a big chance as she seems well.
Miss Antipova runs in the final race, the Maiden Hurdle, under our Conditional Jockey Paddy Cowley for The Batsford Stud Racing Club. She needs to settle as has been a bit too buzzy in the past but if she settles and gives herself a chance, she generally jumps well but she does need to show us a bit more today. Fingers crossed.
Work morning here and we worked plenty first and second lot and dodged the Hunt who appeared from no-where but luckily disappeared as quickly as they arrived!
Belinda has asked that I plug two of her fundraisers ahead of Freddie competing at Olympia Horse Show in December in the Shetland Pony Grand National in December to raise money for The Bob Champion Cancer Trust. She has a Bingo Night at The Coach & Horses Pub at Longborough on 30th October and a Pie & Pint Night at The Fox Inn at Broadwell on 12th November. Alternatively he’d be thrilled with any sponsorship direct by clicking HERE. Thank you!
