Another glorious day here and we’ve even been able to leave the horses still in full training out overnight a couple of times in the last week which they have loved. Lots more horses out on their holidays and it’s very theraputic walking around the horses out in the field in the evenings – they are all so content.
Most of the horses that are being ridden just quietly cantered today. 2nd Lot they were under the watchful eye of a group of Physiotherapists as Hannah Ashton is running a course here today. It’s a perfect location for this sort of course as we are so fortunate to have great parking, a super Owners’ Room with all facilities and our horses are then lucky enough to get a free treatment as part of her course! If you are looking for a different location for a meeting or a training day then do get in touch as we hire out our room and it works so well – you’d struggle to have a better view than the one out of our Owners’ Room!
Today I’m heading to Newton Abbot where Gold Mountain runs in the 2m 5f Handicap Chase under Leighton Aspell. He wasn”t right, along with a few in our yard at the time, when he ran at Sedgefield last time so has been given plenty of time to get over that. He has also had a wind operation since. He needs to bounce back to his best form but has pleased us at home and it would be great if he could run well, enjoy himself and run into a place.
Happy Birthday to owner Zara Tindall.
