Martin’s Blog 15th May

More horses turned out in the paddocks and another stunning day of fabulous weather. The steam cleaner is on the go and the stables will soon be ready for the re-paint – the paint is ordered!

Still some horses in to work and this morning we worked Peeping Penny, Forecast, Mr Mafia, Dr Dunraven, Cotswold Prince, Pomme De Nuit, Enforcement, Ask Alice and By Sulanami. All the rest cantered.

One runner tonight at Southwell – Sugar Storm runs in the Mares’ Handicap Hurdle over 2m 4f. Andrew Tinkler rides her and she will no doubt appreciate the better ground on her handicap debut. She’s had a wind operation since her last run and she does need to improve considerably on that but we are hopeful of a decent show in a competitive race.

Happy Birthdays today to both owner Zara Tindall and also to Tilly Jarrett who is in our Racing Club – May is a busy month for us with birthdays!
