Martin’s Blog 15th March

Day 3 and we head to Cheltenham with Spice Girl who runs in the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle. She’s won five out of her six runs this season and, although her hurdle wins have been in lesser company, she certainly deserves her chance on the big stage today. With Harry Stock not able to use his claim of 5lbs with it being a Graded race, Champion Jockey Richard Johnson, who won a bumper on her at Stratford, rides. It’s a first Festival runner for both her breeder and part owner Richard Davies and other part owner Mark Holland and if she were able to run into a place then we’d all absolutely thrilled. She’s small but tough and you never know what may happen!

Yesterday Pirate Look made a very encouraging debut at Huntingdon under Andrew Tinkler jumping well to finish 2nd on his first start for us. He seems fresh and well this morning and I have no doubt he will give The Jack Sparrow Syndicate a lot of fun.

Another fabulous day of racing ahead. Hopefully catch up with plenty more of you over the next couple of days.
