A morning where all the horses mainly did just one or two canters however we took World War (Harry Stock) and Lord Condi (Ash Hark) to Jon Trice-Rolph’s yard for a schooling session mid morning. World War has been to Jon’s once before but hasn’t done much schooling so needs as much as possible whereas Lord Condi went as he didn’t have the most straight forward hurdling debut last weekend where he was hampered nearly the whole way and needed a confidence boost. Both were superb though and not only did they benefit from jumping poles & hurdles in the school and then tyres of all shapes and sizes out in the paddock but Ash & Harry did too and both rode really well.
All roads lead to Owners’ Day at the moment and thank you to the team for all their hard work so far ensuring it is all looking so smart. Our Landlord Robert Wharton is also trying to get a few things finished for Sunday too so it’s all systems go all round.
Over to the weather gods now….!
