Martin’s Blog 14th March

A fabulous first day at Cheltenham yesterday with some incredible results and great to meet up with so many friends. Any Currency and Annacotty looked superb in the Retrained Racehorse parade. Harley had to sit tight on Woody who hardly walked a stride and probably couldn’t understand why he wasn’t being let loose around his beloved Cross Country Course! He is a credit to Harley and his family. Annacotty looked a picture too and it was wonderful to catch up with his owner, Liz Prowting, in the Paddock whilst watching him parade – whilst sharing our pride in how well these old warriors have done for us all and how well they look in retirement.

Another fabulous day in prospect today. Chairman Jon Hughes along with wife Jack and Paul Davis own Acey Milan (Aidan Coleman/Anthony Honeyball) who is nearly favourite in the Bumper after some solid form this season including a Listed win at Cheltenham on New Years’ Day. We wish them the best of luck and hope he does them proud today – they all deserve it for all they put into racing.

We have one runner at Huntingdon. Pirate Jack makes his hurdling debut for The Jack Sparrow Syndicate headed by Chris and Charlie Dee. Andrew Tinkler rides and we are hopeful for a bold show. An exciting day for this syndicate and good luck to them all.

Have a great day everyone!
