Martin’s Blog 14th June

A stunning week ahead and Royal Ascot looks to be very lucky with the weather and the prospect of some fabulous racing too. A quiet week runners wise for us with nothing until the weekend possibly.

I had a wonderful birthday weekend with an evening at Soccer Aid at the Olympic Park Stadium in London thanks to Harry Redknapp who was managing the England Team. The boys, as you can imagine, absolutely loved the evening, as we did too and so many different celebs in the team and watching as well.

Runners wise poor Cut And Run (Mary) suffered a career ending injury at Worcester last Saturday when she injured her tendon. She’ll have plenty of time for it to mend and we are looking to setting up a breeding syndicate in due course. I appreciated Clerk of the Course Nessie Chanter ringing to find out how ‘Mary’ was as she knew she’d left the course lame. Revolut ran on the flat on Sunday and was slow out of the stalls and then ran a bit too keen so needs to learn to settle. We’ll do plenty more stalls work with her too.

Hope to see lots of friends today at Royal Ascot – should be a great day.
