Martin’s Blog 14th January

A fun Saturday morning with visitors but thankfully not too much rain although pretty windy out 1st lot. Tony Le Gros was here as part of a birthday treat to watch Herecomeshogan and the rest of the team on the gallops. Neil Clifton and his family here and Paul Davis too.

Warren Marston, Harry Stock, Miranda Theobald, Tim Gibbs, Abbie Berkins and Freddie were all in to ride out which is always a great help on a Saturday. We worked Shinji, Found On, Rolling Clouds, Back on the Lash, Spanish Present, Dreamsundermyfeet, Prairie Diamond, Ten Past Midnight, Brianna Rose, Duke of Luckley, Pinnacle Peak, Redbridge Rambler, Miss Antipova and Ben Buie. All the rest cantered.

An exciting/nerve wracking day for Ernie in particular as two of her favourite horses, Witness Protection and Breizh Alko both run at Wetherby, Witness returning from over 400 days off the track in a very competitive looking race. Hopefully he’ll run a blinder and come back safe and sound so we can plan some targets later on in the spring. Breizh will love the ground and if he bounces back to form should run a big race. Good luck to David Parry and also everyone involved in Foxtrot Racing.
