Martin’s Blog 14th February

Yesterday Freddie went to a Pony Racing Training Day on his safe little fluffy pony Arthur. It was near Towcester and brilliantly organised by the Pony Racing Authority. We are so lucky to have this relatively new initiative which gives children the opportunity to experience the thrill of not only what it’s like to be a jockey from such an early age but such vital information as how to get fit, the correct position and to meet other likeminded kids and make friends too. Freddie may only ride in one Point-to-Point pony race this year but he loved it, learnt lots, made some new friends and was delighted to pass at the end.

Today we had John Broadhurst and Adrian Jones here to watch John’s homebred youngster by Fair Mix. I’m really pleased with how he is coming along and he’s settled in well.

We then took four horses galloping to Wolverhampton – Ocean Eleven, Forecast, Whatalove and Buckle Street and they all worked really well with Jamie, Harley, Warren and Tinks on board.

Back at home we worked Johnny Og, Ask Alice, Altesse De Guye, Thady Quil, Bobble Emerald, The Wexfordian, Any Currency, Dalton Glance, Red Type, Sporty Yankee and Viking Mistress. A productive morning and they all worked well.
