Happy Valentine’s Day!

We have one runner today with Finescope heading to Lingfield under Sam Twiston-Davies (Sean Bowen’s final day of his suspension) for breeders Graham Saville and Billy Worthington. She’s had three runs in bumpers and this is her hurdling debut and, as all of ours do, she has had plenty of schooling practice but you never quite know how they’ll go until they are put under the pressure of a race. She seems in good form so we are hopeful of a competitive run.

We worked a few horses this morning including Redbridge Rambler, Rolling Clouds, Ambassador, Wide To West, Breizh Alko, Brianna Rose, Myfanwy’s Magic, Duke of Luckley, Bella Ciao, Samtara and Come On Me Babby. All the rest cantered.

We had one runner over the weekend – Andrew & Louise Jones’ Shinji who they’d purchased after winning a Fakenham bumper. Newbury’s bumper was red hot and full of lovely horses, plenty with decent winning form. Shinji refused to settle early on and pulled Sam Twiston-Davies to the front and although he eventually settled, we thought he may struggle to finish competitively. However, we’d need not worry as he battled all the way up the straight to finish beaten just 2 1/2 lengths and delight us all. We’ll have lots of fun with him I’m sure and he seems to have come out of his race well so far too.

More runners later this week so hopefully our good form continues.
