A very busy Good Friday. Michelle Folley and her father were here to watch Brass Monkey on the gallops and enjoyed the hot cross buns! Sarah Hughes, Rosanne Panes and their friends Angela and Sarah were here after they were the highest bidders for a Champagne Breakfast and a morning on the gallops and they seemed to really enjoy themselves. They kindly added to Belinda’s charity pot for her York Race in June which has taken the total to over £7000 and she is understandably delighted. She’d appreciate any more pennies though so please do support her if you can www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Belinda-Keighley2017
Vicky Hill, who Belinda went to Pony Club with and also rode out with us at The Duke’s in Condicote, called in today with her son Jack. She moved to New Zealand nearly 20 years ago and it was brilliant to see her and to show her around our facilities. Hopefully they will meet up again in the next couple of weeks and with Miranda Theobald too, who makes our soft furnishings, as she used to be Nanny to Vicky & her sister Lucy – what a small world.
Late morning Neville and Pam Statham called in to see Young Phoenix who is going really well and is due to debut in a bumper soon. Great to see them.
Kitty King, Ambassador for our Racing Club, brought two horses up to use our gallops and it was great to catch up with her too.
Belinda and the boys have gone off Pony Racing at Cheltenham – spectating this year as Freddie isn’t quite old enough but he will be hoping to do it next year!
