Martin’s Blog 13th October

Mild but wet and very windy on the gallops this morning. Zoe & Abi Stock and Des Andrews braved the weather to watch their Finnick Glory work under son Harry. Really pleased with how she is going and she’ll be making her racecourse debut soon – exciting.

Mark Caswell was in to ride out and Zara Tindall’s Cut & Run returned to the yard although she has been being boxed over to gallop twice a week recently and she’s not far off a run.

We worked World War, Solstice Star, Ben Buie, Finnick Glory, Brillare Momento, Miss Antipova, Young Phoenix, Pomme De Nuit, Sarasota Star, Mahler 4 year old Filly, Cut & Run, Big Nasty and Twentyoneblackjack. All the rest cantered.

No runners today but this afternoon a trip to Broadway Horse Trials to support an old favourite of ours, Always Bold, who is eventing with his owner and our great friend Miranda Theobald. Together they’ve won so many classes and he’s not the most straight forward so he’s certainly landed on his feet with Miranda and all the TLC he gets with her.
