Martin’s Blog 13th December

Bitterly cold this morning. Leighton Aspell came in en route to Warwick to and he schooled Chequered View, Reve, Oscar World and Big Nasty. Harry Stock schooled Somewhere To Be, Solstice Star and Brillare Momento and Alice Smith schooled Buckle Street who she rides every day. A fantastic schooling session which is always a relief – they were superb and I was delighted with them all. A good start to the day!

Yesterday Paul & Geraldine Townend were in 1st lot to watch Forecast on the gallops. He will next appear at Ascot a week on Saturday and seems in good form with himself.

Our foals have settled in well and our fantastic yardman Lucjan Wirth has put up a Field Shelter for them and is adapting it too – it’s going to look very smart. There are still shares available in them so do get in touch if you are interested in a fantastic Christmas present for a loved one or yourself!

We also have spaces available in our Racing Club which is a successful and fun club where our current members have made life long racing friends through as well as enjoying the winners, yard visits, an invite to our annual Owners’ Day and much more. It’s £500 a year in a single payment or monthly direct debit at £42/month. Do get in touch to get involved.

John Abernethy called in late morning for a catch up and he also brought lots of goodies for the team. They all work so hard all year round so I’m always thrilled when our Owners’ feel they wish to look after them at Christmas too and I know it is very much appreciated.
