Belinda, myself and the boys have just had a couple of days in London which was absolutely fantastic and definitely feels like we have been away for a lot longer than just 48 hours! Thanks to Mario Stavrou for his hospitality and we can certainly highly recommend his hotel for anyone looking for a hotel in Paddington. Lovely to catch up with him and also with Matt and Shona Capp who we shared a delicious supper with last night.
We had a wonderful time simply being tourists around London! We even bumped into a few racing faces, mostly heading to Lords, including Alastair Down who we miss so much whilst watching the racing on TV.
Jasmin, Ernie and the team looked after everything brilliantly back at home with visitors this morning including Nigel McAllen and Matthew and Carol Baker. James Best was in to ride out as was Miranda Theobald, who rode Mr Mafia and kept Belinda updated as to how well he was feeling with pictures! Miranda is also great friends with Peter & Jane Boggis who own Mr Mafia and indeed who are meeting us for supper tonight to celebrate his latest win – his record breaking win!!
Jump racing is back on Sunday and we can’t wait to have runners again.
