Martin’s Blog 11th May

No luck at Wincanton last night but all the horses are back safe and sound. Two long days with evening meetings on both nights and tough for a small team to cover especially during holiday time when some of the team are already off. Something we are going to address with the team at a team meeting and discuss the most effective way ensuring adequate staff cover for the horses both at the racecourse and at home but also the staff not working too long hours. As ever, we are so grateful for our team here.

More horses out on their summer holidays – a little bit colder than the sunshine of last weekend but they are happy and they are not bothered by any flies at this time of year either although we are relatively lucky here and don’t seem to get plagued by them too much.

No runners today but Primogeniture runs in the first race at Warwick for our Martin Keighley Racing Club tomorrow with Aidan Coleman on board.
