Martin’s Blog 11th March

Mark Boothright and Tryone Hanlon in first lot to watch the horses on the gallops. Their Debden Bank runs this afternoon in the 1st division of the Stratford Bumper and we are obviously hoping he puts his first run well behind him today. He was as green as grass but also came back sick so has been given plenty of time and seems well. We’ve always thought a lot of him and Conor Shoemark rides today.

In the second division Mark is also a part owner of Pinnacle Peak but he shares him with Grahame Lovett who both also share Pinnacle Peak’s half brother Back on the Lash who may be Cheltenham bound as an outsider in the Albert Bartlett on Friday. Pinnacle Peak is a more imposing looking type than his half brother and does everything nicely at home so we hope he has a good introduction to racing under Harry Stock but it looks competitive. He’s always shown us a lovely attitude and if he’s as tough as Back on the Lash he’ll give us lots of fun.

A busy morning here with Jon Hughes and Deb Butler here for a meeting and Maggie Turner, our Physio and Farrier Nick Partridge in too. Stefan Hibbert here late morning on route to Cheltenham to see the Yearlings who are getting more boisterous by the day! Still a share available in two of them so do come and visit if you are interested.
