Martin’s Blog 11th January

Young Phoenix ran another solid race at Doncaster and was still there with every chance 2 out but just stayed on one pace. He jumps fences well at home and I think we’ll now switch to fences which will hopefully bring out improvement in him.

Raving Bonkers didn’t deserve to fall at the last at Taunton and poor Matt Griffiths was in hospital for quite a few hours but he seemed relieved he’d ‘only’ injured his A C joint – we all wish him a speedy recovery. RB was a little shaken afterwards but was fine when he got home albeit a little stiff. We’ll make sure he is A1 before giving him lots of schooling to ensure that there are no lasting effects.
