Martin’s Blog 10th January

A short blog as it’s all hands on deck this morning but no rain at the moment for a change!

We head to two meetings with one runner at each today. At Ludlow Roger & Yvonne Allsop’s Samtara (Gavin Sheehan) runs in the 2m 5f Maiden Hurdle and he’s returning from a mid winter break. The Handicapper never seems to give him a chance and he’s been so unlucky finishing 2nd too many times and often beaten by a short margin. He seems in good form and we are hopeful of another good run from him.

At Taunton Sarasota Star is in a very competitive 2m Chase where although there are only 4 runners they all have a chance. The ground is now soft which wouldn’t be ideal for him but if he goes in it and gets into a good rhythm he should run another good race as he’s flying at home according to his work rider Belinda! He’s won twice over fences already this season and ran a very good race in defeat last time out.

Good luck Team!
