Happy New Year!
We so nearly had our first winner of 2017 yesterday at Taunton with Forecast.
He was given a lovely ride by Conor Shoemark who got him jumping better than ever and, thanks to Harley Cornock who gets on so well with him at home, he settled a lot better too.
He cruised up to jump the final hurdle upsides however he made his only mistake of the race and fell heavily.
So disappointing for all but we should be thanking our lucky stars both horse and jockey were OK.
At the moment, we are having a lot of work done at our yard to improve our owners’ experience.
Our sponsor Leisure Ride Group have been working hard and have nearly completed the car park and a walkway for them down to the yard too.

They are helping make the place even safer for the horses with a new horse walkway, mounting block and re-doing our drive too.
There is more to do but we’ve made a good start and have so many exciting plans. We are grateful for their hard work and the support of some of our other owners too who are helping with more improvements.
On Monday Belinda went to York Racecourse for the launch of the Best Western Hotels and Macmillan Ride of Their Life Charity Race which is due to be held on June 17.
