Kazontherazz makes it 5 wins for us this week!

Wow what a week and there can’t be many tougher performances than Kazontherazz’s winning run yesterday at Uttoxeter under a superb ride from James Best. She was stepping up in trip and I wasn’t sure she’d enjoy the softer ground however she simply didn’t miss a beat, jumping for fun and looked to have everything beaten off turning for home. However, it’s a long way up the home straight and she was challenged after the last but she showed how tough she is to stick her neck out to win by a fast diminishing head at the line. A fabulous result and a shame that none of The Meagher Family could be at Uttoxeter to watch but I have no doubt they were screaming at the tv at home! Well done to Vicki who rides her out every day and to Beth who looks after her.

Kaz, far side, toughs it out to hold on.

What a mare Giovanna is. She’s now bred us 9 winners this season (or 10 if you include Back on the Lash’s charity race win with Beth!) from Back On The Lash (4), Pinnacle Peak (3) and now Kazontherazz (2). I wonder if another mare can challenge that stat this season – I doubt it.

That makes it a run of 3 winners from our last 3 runners with Kaz adding to Ben Buie (won Wednesday) and Brorson (won Tuesday) and 5 winners this week with Mozzaro and Brianna Rose both winning at Southwell. If Carlsberg did weeks….!

In London at The London International Horse Show, Freddie & his shetland pony Blackie (Brewards Kerwen) are in action and are absolutely loving it. They had a great race last night to finish a good 4th and are aiming to try and improve on that over the weekend where they have 5 more races. It’s so much fun and a brilliant way to spend a few days before Christmas. Very special.
