You can always rely on bloodstock agent, Gerry Hogan, to pick out top class horses for Martin Keighley. The two of them worked together at David Nicholson’s and, since setting up as a bloodstock agent, Gerry has bought several top-class horses for Martin including Champion Court, Any Currency and Annacotty. This strong, imposing gelding caught Gerry’s eye at the Land Rover sales due to his presence, his athletic movement and his breeding. His sire, Sageburg, is a young stallion who has spent half of his career in France and half in Ireland but is already the sire of the Cheltenham Festival winner, Ch’tibello and the top-class Rouge Vif. Furthermore, his dam, a winner herself over hurdles, is closely related to several top-class horses such as Graphic Approach and the Irish Grand National winner Feathered Gale. He has been sent to Martin Jones for backing and breaking. Martin has had countless superstars pass through his hands during this early and so important part of their careers. Martin is adept at spotting talent from an early stage and has already been really impressed with this gelding, both with ease of movement, but also his willingness to learn. For less than £1 per day you can own a share in this fabulous gelding with Martin Keighley at his top-class training establishment in the beautiful Cotswold countryside – that’s less than the price of a cup of tea. A one-off payment of £395 covers you for the full syndicate period (October 2020 to December 2021) with nothing else to pay. As well as the pleasure of seeing your horse develop, you’ll have the thrill of watching him embark on his racing career and a chance to go racing as an owner. You’ll enjoy frequent updates about his progress including videos of him in training; there will be several syndicate visits to the yard to watch him on the gallops; and when he races you’ll keep all prize money he wins. At the end of the syndicate term, he’ll then be sold and you’ll keep your share of whatever he is sold for. Owning a racehorse is a dream for many. Now it can become a reality. The syndicate will be called ‘The Cotswold Lockdowners’. Why ? Because Lockdown was a tough time for many of us, causing us to wistfully dream of all the things we wanted to do afterwards. Now is your chance to spoil yourself, or perhaps to spoil a loved one, with the gift of a lifetime. Act quickly – the first 20 to join will get a free Martin Keighley scarf.
