Day 1…Cheltenham begins!

It’s here! They have promised a dry day and it’s raining at the moment so hopefully that will stop soon. Harley was in early and then off to get Any Currency ready to join Annacotty and the rest of the superstars that will be parading as part of the Retrained Racehorse Parade at 12.30pm – do call down and see them if you are at Cheltenham. It’s Woody’s 7th Festival and whilst it’s very weird not having him in the cross-country tomorrow after all these years, it’s perfect for him that he’s been invited there today. He’ll love it I’m sure. It will be also good to see Annacotty, our 1st Grade 1 winner and a Cheltenham winner for us too, in action – a brilliant initiative.

Bloodstock Agent Luke Lillingston was here this morning as well as Chris and Charlie Dee. Charlie has joined Luke as an Assistant and has since purchased Pirate Look for his mother Chris who runs tomorrow and Huntingdon and Reve for Ollie Ryan who is a very imposing exciting individual.

On to Cheltenham and some fabulous racing. Heavy ground for the first time since I’ve known it there will be very interesting. Good luck to all!
