Continuance WINS on the flat at Chepstow in style!

A fabulous winner yesterday for Continuance under a superb ride from 16 year old Jack Doughty, a lad we know from the Pony Racing circuit racing against Freddie for the last couple of summers. Contiuance was upset by a rival in the stalls and all but fell out of them looking to give away any chance of winning however no-one told him! Not only did Jack manage to get him back into the race, despite dropping his whip 2f out, he produced him to join the heavily backed and very well handicapped Sir Mark Prescott rival not long after and forged clear a furlong out to win by an easy 5 1/2 lengths and delight us all.

There are still shares available in his syndicate, albeit selling fast, and Bobbie Witts was one syndicate member able to be there yesterday, visiting Chepstow for the first time and her delight was wonderful to see. Nigel McAllen, who runs the sydnicate, and Paul Davis were also there to cheer him in and I’m sure there will be lots more fun to be had both on the flat and over hurdles – he has schooled very well at home.

Bought by Charlie Dee at the Tattesalls Sales, he is a very exciting prospect. More about him tomorrow – now off to cheer on Lost In The Mist in the lucky last at Stratford for our Racing Club – hopefully he’ll run a belter too.

Earlier today we hosted a morning on the gallops for The Cotswold Lockdowners who own Herecomeshogan and, as always, much fun was had by all. Horses, friends, family and fizz – what more could you ask for!
