Cheltenham Day 2

A brief blog after a fantastic Cheltenham yesterday where Belinda & I were just spectating and it was fabulous to see so many friends after such a quiet Cheltenham last year.

Two runner for our little team with Back On The Lash in the Cross Country Chase under Sean Bowen for new owners in him – Oliver Ryan, David Maughan, Karen Salters & Marcus Freer and Harry Redknapp. He’s got a great each way chance if he bounces back to the form he showed when he won in November. He’s had a good break and goes well fresh so let’s hope for a lot of luck and for him to come home safely.

Spanish Present is in the bumper for David Maughan under Sean Bowen and he won well for us at Market Rasen. This is obviously a huge step up in class with some very smart unbeaten horses in the field but he’s 6 years old, is running in his final bumper and deserves a crack at it. I’m hopeful he won’t disgrace himself and if he has more horses behind him than in front of him we’ll be thrilled. He’s a lovely chaser for the future.

Good luck team and Happy Birthday to our ex stable jockey and top work rider Warren Marston!
