Boxing Day

Happy Christmas to you all. We had a lovely day starting very early with Freddie & Harry waking up before 5.30am. Father Christmas had been, thankfully, and Freddie was thrilled to get his new three piece suit and Harry over the moon that Trevor Hemmings, as he promised, had spoken to his friend Father Christmas and he found his much wanted ‘Many Clouds’ colours in his sack.

The boys then rode out with the team who were all in to muck out and ride out one lot (apart from Jamie whose family live in Brighton so it made sense for him to have a long weekend at home). We were all done by 9.30am and a quick glass of champagne (or orange juice) with the team in our Owners’ Room and they were all off for the day which they all thoroughly deserved. Family Christmas here meant that we could all do evening stables ourselves –
with the help of our Christmas Day guests Jelly, Fern & Daisy O’Brien….no such thing as a free lunch! What a fun and special day.

An early start this morning as we are in the first at Huntingdon. Lerichi Belle runs over hurdles in a competitive race and we hope that the extended trip will suit her. We then aren’t on again until the final race – the bumper – with newcomer to us Lady Vitesse who goes better at home than her huge starting price suggests so we will watch with interest. Harry Stock partners them both.

Happy Christmas to you all and hope you all thoroughly enjoyed time with friends and family.

Finally a very Happy Birthday to owner Chris Massey!
