News from Condicote

We have escaped without too much snow thankfully and no runners until Wednesday so we’ve not got to worry about getting the lorry out in the snow.  I remember in February 2009 being so desperate to get to Bangor with Picture in the Sky that the whole team had to dig the lorry out and it was towed up to the top road which was free of snow.

We rode the horse up through the fields to meet the lorry just before the main road where he was loaded.  Warren Marston, who was originally going to another meeting that day which was abandoned, re-routed to Bangor and in doing so jocked a certain A P McCoy off (Waz had rung him and got the go-ahead!).  Needless to say we sadly were not rewarded with a winner but he ran well to finish 2nd so at least the owners were rewarded with some prize money.

No runners today and indeed none until Wednesday where we may go to Market Rasen – Jazzy, The Wexfordian and Viking Mistress hold entires there.  Ballymountain Boy will make his debut shortly over hurdles and has an option at Ludlow on Thursday and Ascot on Saturday.  Johnny Og has a couple of entries towards the end of next week too.
