A busy day at Southwell

5 runners for us today at Southwell, a course that has often been a lucky one so let’s hope for some good results today.

Debden Bank (James Best) is our first runner and he returns from three months off and needs to bounce back from a few disappointing runs. He completed his hat-trick at Southwell last summer and seems well at home and would have a solid each way chance if he enjoys himself today.

Love of Neymore is partnered by our yard amateur Harry Atkins who does such a wonderful job on her at home. She’s a sweet mare and will no doubt strengthen up after a summer break but it will be good to get another run under her belt before she has a holiday.

Windy Cove ran a reasonable race on her hurdling debut back at Southwell recently and has the assistance of Sean Bowen in the saddle for The Morgan Family and Nicky Clifford. We may not see the best of her until she goes hurdling but she jumps well and has a lovely attitude which is half the battle.

Foxtrot Racing’s Pay The Woman is unbeaten over hurdles (3/3) but looks to have a tough ask to beat the heavily fancied Jonjo O’Neill runner. However she is really pleasing me at home and we’ll do all we can to do just that!

Finally The Serendipity Syndicate’s Ten Past Midnight runs in the final race under Patrick Cowley who has won on him before and who we are pleased to support in his return to the saddle. He won 3 times before Christmas and is returning from a four month break but we are hopeful of a solid run from him too.

Good luck Team!
